
It has been reported that 70% of O Level students have passed from the three core subjects, which consist of English, Maltese and Mathematics. The newspaper Kullħadd also reported that 10,887 SEC certificates were awarded to this year’s students.
Considerably positive marks were also obtained in other subjects such as the sciences; Physics, Biology, Chemistry and Environmental Science. Students reportedly also went well in English Literature and foreign languages.
There was also an increase in the number of students who tool the exams. There were one hundred and thirty students more than last year.
Around 4,000 students applied for A Levels, with the most common exams being Maltese, Marketing, Biology, Pure Maths and English. Approximately 60% of all the students who gave a A Level exams a shot managed to pass.
The best A Level results were awarded in Maltese, Biology and Marketing whilst in Intermediate level English and Systems of Knowledge saw the best results.
