With all of the latest food trends and dining establishments taking the island by storm this year, it looks like 2021 is going to be the year of the sweet tooth. 🍬

That said, we took it upon ourselves to list some of Malta’s best spots which are best suited to satisfy your sweet tooth. From milkshakes to pancakes to churros and everything in between, here are some of the island’s sweetest spots, in no particular order.

This San Ġwann spot broke onto the scene in 2018 and made a name for itself with its massive variety of sweets and treats. Beyond their delicious savoury menu, Shakes ’n’ Bakes will hook you up with some of the best milkshakes on the island.🥤

Caramel popcorn, Ħelwa tat-Tork, Lucky Charms and more, the milkshake possibilities are endless.. and let’s face it, you’ll definitely need something to wash down their doughnuts, crepes and iconic sweet pizzas! 🤤

Zwiit is undoubtedly one of our one of our favourite sweet spots and has been for quite a while now. Few other places offer the quality and variety that this St. Julian’s spot offers. Just recently, they’ve also set up a kiosk in Żejtun to bring their mouthwatering treats to every corner of the island.

Whether you’re craving doughnuts, have a yearning for pancakes or feel like some crispy churros or imqaret, Zwiit have got you sorted.

One of the literal OGs, Becky’s has been tantalising our taste buds since 2015 and it feels just like yesterday since we had our first stack of pancakes from this Naxxar spot.

Becky’s just offers that carefree vibe we long for on a day-to-day basis and the fact that they offer some of the tastiest crepes and pancakes on the island is definitely a bonus. 🥞 Not to mention the fact that they serve as a perfect accompaniment to their juicy, mouth-watering burgers. 🍔

Relatively the new kid on the block, Donut Empire has made a name for itself as the island’s latest hungry hotspot, donning a glowing neon look reminiscent of the classic American diner. 🇺🇸
