The RGF is thus assisting the FKNK with a €14,000 grant towards the conservation and support of the turtle dove population, complementing the ever-prevalent mission to decrease gambling addictions.

The project, which started in 2017, has been successful so far, meriting the release of more than 400 turtle doves in 2017, 700 from Gozo in 2018 and 350 in 2019, being unable to conduct this event in 2020 due to the pandemic.
