Jeremy Clarkson has been named the UK’s sexiest man for the second consecutive year. The 64-year-old presenter topped a poll conducted by IllicitEncounters, beating high-profile competitors like Prince William, Idris Elba, and Cillian Murphy.

Clarkson scored nine out of ten in the annual survey, which asked 2,000 female members of the dating site to rank 50 prominent men based on their sexiness.

Tom Holland, 27, who is dating actress Zendaya, secured second place with eight points, while Prince William, 41, rose to third after being near the bottom last year.

The poll also saw England football manager Gareth Southgate, 53, in fourth place, and Cillian Murphy, 47, in fifth. New entrants included Sam Thompson in eighth and Russ Cook in ninth. Notable exits from the top 10 included Mike Tindall, who dropped from third to 29th, and Ryan Reynolds, who fell from fourth to 26th. Prince Harry finished in 47th place, far from the top.

Jessica Leoni, spokesperson for IllicitEncounters, remarked on Clarkson’s appeal, noting his ability to connect emotionally with audiences in the latest series of “Clarkson’s Farm.” Clarkson’s continued popularity is attributed to his rugged, “bad boy farm” persona. He is currently filming the fourth season of the show.

Miriam Dalli, the Minister for the Environment, Energy, and Regeneration of the Grand Harbour, has commended a Maltese company’s innovative efforts to revolutionize the plastics manufacturing industry in Malta.

Minister Dalli, along with Circular Economy Malta CEO Jason Vella, visited MCL Components Limited in Bulebel. This company specializes in designing and producing reusable products that are easily recyclable at the end of their lifecycle. By addressing the diverse needs of their clients, MCL minimizes waste and creates a positive environmental impact. Any excess materials from their manufacturing process are recycled on-site to produce additional products.

During her visit, Minister Dalli highlighted the vital role of supporting and incentivizing sustainability initiatives among local businesses. She stressed the necessity of transitioning from a linear economy to a circular one, where resources are used more efficiently and waste is significantly reduced through innovative practices.

“MCL Components Limited is a leading example in the industry by adopting sustainable manufacturing practices and emphasizing environmental responsibility. Their dedication to achieving net-zero waste, net-zero energy operations, using recycled materials, and maintaining pollutant-free production processes exemplifies their commitment to the circular economy,” Minister Dalli remarked.

Jason Vella, CEO of Circular Economy Malta, underscored the importance of a closed-loop approach in local manufacturing, where products are designed to be fully reusable at the end of their lifecycle. He pointed out that this approach is economically advantageous for both producers and consumers while leaving a lasting positive impact on the environment.

Mr. Vella also discussed the Bring Your Own Container initiative recently launched by the Agency. This program encourages consumers to visit registered retailers and choose refillable containers for a variety of products, including beverages, food items, detergents, and cosmetics. By selecting refillable containers, consumers help reduce single-use plastic consumption and promote a circular economy mindset.
