62 COVID-19 cases registered overnight with 114 recoveries

Malta has registered 62 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours from 2,289 swab tests, while 114 patients have recovered. This information was announced by the official Facebook page of Malta’s Ministry for Health.

As of Friday 2nd April 2021, 209,065 vaccine doses were administered of which 57,123 were 2nd doses.

To date, Malta has registered 29,189 COVID-19 cases in total, of which: 28,159 have recovered, 397 died and 633 are still active.

Bridgerton fans went wild on social media yesterday evening after the series broke the news that Regé-Jean Page will not be returning as the Duke of Hastings, some even threatening to ‘boycott’ the series as a whole.

Jean Page took to Instagram to call his experience within the hit series as the ‘ride of a life time’, as the show continues to follow the story of the books it is based upon, leaving many utterly disappointed.

Bridgerton’s official Twitter account in the form of Lady Whistledown, published an update on the future of the series, bidding adieu to their dearly beloved Duke of Hastings.

Authorities have just put a strict three-day lockdown into effect across Italy to prevent a potential surge in COVID-19 cases over the Easter weekend.

Every single Italian region has been classified as a ‘red zone’, carrying the highest level of restriction banning non-essential movement and other measures as the country continues to battle its third wave with around 20,000 daily cases.

After Easter weekend, authorities may ease restrictions in various regions, classifying between orange and red zones until the end of April.

Since its inception, Peaky Blinders has solidified itself as one of the most in-demand, beloved shows of the 21st century, partly due to its protagonist and Shelby family leader Tommy, played by Cillian Murphy.

However, as the sixth and final season of the series approaches, with a Peaky Blinders film becoming near-certain, creator Steven Knight stated that he does not exclude a future without Murphy.

While stating that the series, in its current form, is nearly impossible to carry on without Murphy, Knight revealed that the show may be taking another form, potentially surrounding the Shelby family and history of Small Heath, going on to compliment Murphy for his dramatic prowess.
