The Embassy of Palestine in Malta took to social media to share some updates on the Conscience humanitarian vessel.

It was revealed that six volunteers aboard the vessel were brought to Malta and flew to their home country on Monday night.

The Freedom Flotilla revealed on social media that the location of the 6 volunteers was not disclosed to the FFC team until they were taken to Malta airport.

Meanwhile, a Maltese surveyor was allowed aboard the vessel to asses the needed repairs.

Ħamrun Spartans booked their spot in the 360Sports Malta Premier League Championship Final with a dramatic 4-2 penalty shootout win over Floriana on Monday night at the National Stadium.

Before that, Floriana and Sliema will meet in the third-place playoff on Friday, 9 May, to determine the final European qualification slot.

Opposition Leader Bernard Grech took to social media following an urgent meeting with Prime Minister Robert Abela regarding the vessel Conscience, currently located in territorial waters near Malta.

Grech said he received “all assurances” that the interests of the Maltese people and the country’s security are being safeguarded.

He emphasised that the well-being of the individuals aboard the ship was also being addressed, stating, “For us, every life matters,” and he was satisfied that guarantees were given regarding their health and safety.

Grech also addressed the issue in Parliament, where he thanked Malta’s law enforcement and all those involved in handling the situation.

He noted that “the national interest comes first and above all,” explaining that this principle guided the Opposition’s cautious approach.

The Nationalist Party refrained from public commentary on the matter until they had a clearer understanding of the facts.

The Opposition leader expressed appreciation to the Prime Minister for accepting his request for an urgent meeting, highlighting the importance of unity in such sensitive cases.

Grech concluded by condemning the alleged incident involving the vessel, stating, “We condemn this attack—if it is confirmed to have been an attack—regardless of who carried it out.”
