550 trees planted at Santa Lucija jogging track

Infrastructure Malta took to Facebook to announce that 550 tree saplings have been planted along the Santa Lucija jogging track.

Infrastructure Malta took to Facebook to announce that 550 tree saplings have been planted along the Santa Lucija jogging track. The track was rebuilt earlier this year as part of the Santa Lucija Roundabout Underpass Project, which saw around 300 mature trees removed in 2019 against much controversy.

 

The trees were also removed when the road tunnel was built up from a large hole. The roundabout and jogging track were subsequently built over the tunnels, with the saplings bordering the jogging track.

In a discussion between House of Representatives and Health and Safety Authority in regards to the latter’s financial estimates, Deputy Prime Minister Chris Fearne revealed that the government has ordered the vaccine booster doses up until 2023. Whether a booster dose will be required is as of yet undecided, but health authorities have stated that they will be moving with the latest scientific information.

The Health Minister also stated that COVID-19 has left an unprecedented level of mental health issues, especially for frontline workers who have been dealing with the pandemic for well over a year. Chris Fearne announced that together with the MUMN the government will be organising a seminar on mental health so that workers will be protected.

Following the updates in regards to mass events for summer 2021, The Farsons Beer Festival 2021 edition has been cancelled for yet another year. This is the second edition of the festival to be cancelled since the first edition was held in 1981. The team behind Beer Fest acknowledged how disappointing for crew, partners, artists, sponsors and especially of lovers of beer and the festival.

The 40th edition of the Farsons Beer Fest will be tentatively held from Thursday 28th July to Saturday 6th August in 2022. Fans will have to wait until next year for the possibility of coming together in a celebration which enjoys great beer and fantastic music.

Exclusive images obtained by Daily Mail show rapper Kanye West on a romantic stroll with Bradley Cooper’s model ex Irina Shayk in France. With Kanye, 44, still in an ongoing divorce process from Kim Kardashian, who filed to divorce after around 7 years of marriage with the rapper, the two were seen being immensely close together. Kanye has known Irina for some time, with the model having played an angel in his 2010 music video for ‘Power.’

The couple are currently residing at the luxury Villa La Coste boutique hotel, with suites ranging towards the €1,550 per night. The two are believed to have hired out the establishments and stayed a total of three nights. The two confirmed rumours of the new romance. Rumours had started last month.
