St. Julian’s is usually brimming with drunken revellers and partygoers alike on St. Patrick’s Day pre-pandemic, photos of which made the rounds on social media yesterday but this year something different and just looking at it gave us the chills.

Local photographer Owen Michael Grech captured stunning photos of the barren streets of St. Julian’s on St. Patrick’s Day, with not one reveller in sight as people find themselves (hopefully) inside their homes sticking to the protocol and measures issued by the Health Authorities.

As sombre as it may be, the raw photos of St. Julian’s triggered a certain nostalgic feeling us. Here’s hoping we’ll be back to normal some time soon and in the meantime, STAY SAFE.
