40 COVID-19 cases registered overnight with 144 recoveries

Malta has registered 40 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours from 1,776 swab tests, while 144 patients have recovered. This information was announced by the official Facebook page of Malta’s Ministry for Health.

From yesterday’s cases; 18 cases were family members of previously known cases, 17 cases were contact of positive work colleagues, 11 cases were direct contacts with other positive cases.

To date, Malta has registered 10,699 COVID-19 cases in total, of which: 8,641 have recovered, 157 died and 1,901 are still active.

Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo will be reunited during tonight’s UEFA Champion’s League game for this first time since Ronaldo’s move to Juventus.

Messi will be returning to Barcelona after missing the last two matches.

The match will take place tonight at 9PM at Camp Nou.

Alfred Tanti 73, reported missing

Alfred Tanti, a 73-year-old male has been reported missing to the Malta Police Force.

He was last seen in yesterday in Bormla. He was wearing a blue jacket, black pants and a grey hat.

The Malta Police Force is asking people to pass on any information they might have about this man.

1 dead and over 300 people infected with mysterious illness in India

A mysterious illness in India has left 1 person dead and another 300 injured.

This illness exhibits epilepsy-like symptoms which include; seizures, loss of consciousness, nausea and vomiting.

All of these patients have tested negative for COVID-19. 180 of these patients have been released back to their homes after showing improved symptoms.
