Malta has registered 40 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours from 1,776 swab tests, while 144 patients have recovered. This information was announced by the official Facebook page of Malta’s Ministry for Health.
From yesterday’s cases; 18 cases were family members of previously known cases, 17 cases were contact of positive work colleagues, 11 cases were direct contacts with other positive cases.
To date, Malta has registered 10,699 COVID-19 cases in total, of which: 8,641 have recovered, 157 died and 1,901 are still active.

1 dead and over 300 people infected with mysterious illness in India
A mysterious illness in India has left 1 person dead and another 300 injured.
This illness exhibits epilepsy-like symptoms which include; seizures, loss of consciousness, nausea and vomiting.
All of these patients have tested negative for COVID-19. 180 of these patients have been released back to their homes after showing improved symptoms.
