4 in custody after Bormla shooting

2 Maltese citizens and 2 foreigners have been arrested in connection with a shooting in Bormla, yesterday at around 9 PM.

No one was injured in the incident. A gun was seized as well as a knife.

Trump supporters storm Capitol Hill; at least one shot in critical condition

The US Capitol has been put into lockdown as masses of pro-trump protestors stormed the building during Congress’ certification of President Joe Biden’s electoral win.

Protestors abruptly breached security and entered the building with a one female shot by law enforcement and currently in critical condition.

With COVID-19 cases reaching astonishing numbers less than one week into 2021, it is important to remain vigilant, follow measures issued by the health authorities and get tested when need be.

Malta’s largest retail pharmacy group has joined forces with HSE Laboratories to offer a number of COVID-19 tests, which include Rapid Antigen Tests which provide results within around 1 hour.

The tests cost €35 and are performed in specifically-designated centres by fully-equipped personnel. Appointments can be booked from the Brown’s mobile app and for any queries you can call 215252.

Brown’s also offer the gold-standard RT-PCR Tests at €140, which are appropriate for anyone who has been in contact with a symptomatic person or who is travelling abroad. They also offer Saliva Tests at €100 which is a less-invasive test and provides results  within around 2 hours.

Rapid Screening Malta are offering rapid antigen tests with results sent out by e-mail within 15 minutes – and what’s better is that they are offering group rates at discounted prices.
