Prime Minister Robert Abela addressed the graduation ceremony of 35 individuals in Medicine and Surgery from Queen Mary University of London’s Gozo campus. He emphasised the importance of investing in the healthcare sector, particularly in Gozo , to enhance the prestige of this esteemed university with a local presence.
Dr.Abela outlined the masterplan for Gozo General Hospital, which includes the construction of a new anatomy centre and research facility. These initiatives seek to enhance both the university student’s educational experience and the quality of healthcare services available in Gozo.

He mentioned the university’s successful history in Gozo, which has attracted the support of both the Gozitan population and social partners.

The Gozo campus of Queen Mary University of London currently employs 23 Maltese people, including academics, and welcomes 280 students from 52 countries, demonstrating its global appeal and local integration.
