27-year-old sustains grievous injuries after St. Paul’s Bay incident

A 27-year-old Frenchman sustained grievous injuries after his car was hit by a vehicle driven by a 47-year-old Italian residing in Zebbug.

The incident occurred on Sunday around 6.30 in the evening in Triq San Pawl, St. Paul’s Bay.

A medical team was called onto the scene and took the 27-year-old to Mater Dei, where he was confirmed to have sustained grievous injuries.

Ħamrun, Hibernians and Birkirkara enjoy Premier League victories

League leaders Ħamrun Spartans have taken another step towards a historic Premier league season as they topple rivals Gżira United in a 2-1 victory, while Hibernians and Birkirkara enjoy their respective victories over Żejtun Corinthians and Floriana.

This keeps Hibernians only a few points from the top of the table as they edge closer to Ħamrun’s 53-point lead with 51 points while Birkirkara trail behind at fourth place with 41 points.

Meanwhile, Floriana risk moving into the relegation zone after a 2-0 defeat to Birkirkara, with spectacular goals from Paul Mbong and Luke Montebello.

PM Robert Abela’s 91-year-old grandmother recovers from COVID-19

Following previous reports of Robert Abela’s Nanna Lukarda contracting COVID-19, the Prime Minister’s beloved grandmother has finally recovered from the virus.
Lovin Malta have reported that Nanna Lukarda is out of quarantine and on her way to recovering fully.

The Malta International Airport predicts temperatures as high as 17°C and lows 11°C to accompany the forecasted rain showers as low pressure systems traverse the Mediterranean.
