22-year-old Rudi Batten has been sentenced to six years of prison time after raiding a McDonald’s with a fake gun and demanding nuggets and cash at the register.

Batten threatened the staff at a Yate branch in England, only to be told that they were serving just breakfast, so he took a double-sausage McMuffin and fled with some cash.

The 22-year old entered a guilty plea on two counts of robbery, two counts of possession of an imitation firearm and intent to commit an offence as well as one count of knife possession in a public place.

Residents and citizens of Australia who have been in India within 14 days of their planned return date will be banned from entering Australia starting Monday, with those breaching instruction to face fines and prison time.

The Australian government has stated this emergency situation as part of its measures to stop travel to Australia from India, who is currently struggling with a grave COVID-19 situation.

Health Minister Greg Hunt stated that such a measure, the first of its kind, has been taken to benefit the integrity of Australian public health, whereby measures and restrictions will be reconsidered on 15 May.

India has registered a total death toll of over 200,000 this week, with cases close to 19 million as new strains continue to critically damage the country’s health situation.

Malta remains hopeful in its battle against the COVID-19 pandemic as Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Chris Fearne took to Facebook to share some encouraging news.

Fearne stated that amount of active cases will drop to 270 today, which will be the lowest active case number since early August last year.

The Health Minister went on to highlight the importance of high vaccination rates and called upon the public to take the jab when possible.

In a recent interview with FightHype.com, UFC Boss Dana White stated that while he “doesn’t hate the kid”, believes that Jake Paul will get knocked out in the near future.

White stated that Paul’s 15 minutes of fame will soon be over but commends the YouTuber for the immense cash flow he has been raking in with all the recent headline-making escapades.

Paul was recently seen butting heads with former double champion Daniel Cormier in a fight appearance, going on to challenge the fighter after taking a jab at his weight.
