202 COVID-19 cases registered overnight with 146 recoveries

Malta has registered 202 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours from 3,206 swab tests, while 146 patients have recovered. This information was announced by the official Facebook page of Malta’s Ministry for Health.

As of Monday 8th February 2021, 41,258 vaccine doses were administered.

To date, Malta has registered 19,015 COVID-19 cases in total, of which: 16,325 have recovered, 284 died and 2,406 are still active.

St Julian’s council clears Paceville green patch after receiving rubbish complaints

The St Julian’s Council has completely cleared a green patch in Paceville which was planted by a lifelong resident. The green patch was planted by John Dingli who passed away in 2014.

The green patch was located in Wilga Street. John Dingli used to sow plants in memory of people from the area who had passed away.

Residents were complaining that the area was attracting drug users and garbage. After receiving such complaints the council decided to completely clear the green patch.

Teaser photos of Drake’s much-hyped OVO x Nike Air Force 1 Collab have surfaced.

Ovoupdate shared a photo on Instagram showing the heel of an Air Force 1 Low marked with co-branding.

The sneakers sport a light purplish hue and the usual Nike logo is embroidered at the rear and an embroidered OVO can be seen below.

Man dies after falling 6 storeys in construction site in Marsascala

Early this morning at around 7:45 AM a man working at a construction site in Marsascala fell 6 storeys. The police were called to Silla street, Marsascala for their assistance.

A medical team arrived at the construction site and unfortunately announced that the man was dead.

The man was a Mali native and was residing in Ħaż-Żabbar. Magistrate Doreen Clarke was informed of this case and an inquiry was opened.
