Would you work for a robot?

Well, we all knew this day would come. Dictador, a Polish rum company, made headlines by appointing Mika, a humanoid robot, as its CEO.

Developed through a collaboration between Hanson Robotics and Dictador, Mika embodies the company’s values with advanced AI and machine learning capabilities.

However, there is a noticeable delay in Mika’s response time, as noted by FOX Business reporter Lauren Simonetti. David Hanson, CEO of Hanson Robotics, stressed the importance of humanizing AI for safety and effectiveness.

Mika, always operational, works tirelessly, making data-driven decisions and contributing to various tasks such as identifying potential clients and selecting artists for bottle designs. It operates 24/7 but won’t be responsible for major decisions, which remain in human hands.

Mika’s role extends to overseeing the Arthouse Spirits project, involving NFTs, and engaging with the DAO community. Mika is a more advanced version of Sophia, another AI robot created by Hanson Robotics. While Dictador’s decision to appoint a robot CEO is innovative, it follows a precedent set by a Chinese gaming firm appointing an AI-powered virtual humanoid as a subsidiary CEO.

Minister Clifton Grima discussed the significant investments made in sports infrastructure in recent years. He noted that these facilities not only benefit athletes and sports enthusiasts but also cater to the general public.

“We are providing facilities of the highest standard, both nationwide and in schools, emphasizing the importance of sports and physical activity from a young age.”

Mark Cutajar, CEO of SportMalta, highlighted the importance of seizing opportunities through initiatives like these. He stressed that, through different aspects of life, including the workplace, individuals should engage in physical activity in the places where they spend most of their time. He stated that through this initiative, they want to show that anyone, regardless of age, can engage in physical activity anywhere.

The activities are spread across various sports complexes, including Kirkop Sports Complex, San Vinċenz De Paul Residential Home, Marsa Sports Complex, San Blas, and Cottonera Sports Complex.
