The Mediterrane Film Festival selects 14 immersive virtual reality projects for its Future Visions programme, led by interactive story architect Michel Reilhac.
These international projects span 360 Videos, VR Standalone, and Immersive Installation categories, all aligning with the festival’s 2024 theme: ‘Unity through Film’.
360 videos include ‘Over the Rainbow’ and ‘All That Remains’ directed by Craig Quintero, ‘Daughters of Chibok’ directed by Joel Benson, ‘Space Explorers’ directed by Dir. Felix Lajeunesse and many more. With regards to VR Standalone Projects, pioneers like Steye Hallema will be presenting ‘The Imaginary Friend’ whilst Sjoerd van Acker put ‘Elele’ will also be part of the exhibition, amongst others. If that wasn’t enough, dive into the immersive installations such as Finbar Hawkins, Bran Ttwheam and Lawrence Bennett’s Wallace and Gromit, Simone Fougnier’s Tales from Soda Island and countless others.
Running from June 22 to 30, the Mediterrane Film Festival hosts a series of star-studded events. Highlights include a Book Show featuring esteemed comedian David Walliams and a Content Creation Conference with big names like Patrice Evra. Additionally, the festival offers a diverse series of film screenings, ensuring there’s something for every film enthusiast.
