135 COVID-19 cases registered overnight with 57 recoveries

Malta has registered 135 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours from 2,779 swab tests, while 57 patients have recovered. This information was announced by the official Facebook page of Malta’s Ministry for Health.

From yesterday’s cases; 36 cases were family members of previously known cases, 14 cases were contacts of positive work colleagues, 10 cases were direct contacts with other positive cases, 19 cases were from social gatherings with other positive cases.

To date, Malta has registered 12,909 COVID-19 cases in total, of which: 11,178 have recovered, 219 died and 1,512 are still active.

Man seriously injured in Rabat car crash

A 71-year-old man was seriously injured yesterday at around 7 PM in Rabat.

He lost control of his car and crashed into a wall. The man was taken to hospital.

Police take out their taser guns at Paceville brawl

Last night at around 1 AM a fight broke out in Paceville and involved around 50 people.

Police were forced to intervene and use taser guns to break up the brawl. At least three people were injured and several others have been arrested.
