124 COVID-19 cases registered overnight with 138 recoveries

Malta has registered 124 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours from 3,043 swab tests, while 138 patients have recovered. This information was announced by the official Facebook page of Malta’s Ministry for Health.

Details on new active cases will be given by Prof Charmaine Gauci during a press briefing at 12:30, which will be streamed on saħħa.

To date, Malta has registered 12,665 COVID-19 cases in total, of which: 11,057 have recovered, 216 died and 1,329 are still active.

Chris Fearne’s wife takes vaccine and appeals to public to take the vaccine as well

Chris Fearne’s wife, Dr Astrid Fearne has just taken the COVID-19 vaccine.

In a video posted by saħħa on Facebook, Dr Fearne has appealed to the Maltese public to take the vaccination.

She asked the people who’ve received the letter for the vaccination to be courageous and get vaccinated.

Breaking: Chris Fearne announces UK COVID-19 variant arrived in Malta

Health Minister, Chris Fearne has just announced on Twitter that the UK variant of the COVID-19 virus has now been found in Malta.

The cases have been isolated and their contacts have been quarantined.

Fearne urged everyone to, “stay vigilant, stay responsible” and “stay safe”.
