123 COVID-19 cases registered overnight with 105 recoveries

Malta has registered 123 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours from 3,100 swab tests, while 105 patients have recovered. This information was announced by the official Facebook page of Malta’s Ministry for Health.

Details on new active cases will be given by Prof Charmaine Gauci during at 12:30, which will be streamed on saħħa.

To date, Malta has registered 10,320 COVID-19 cases in total, of which: 8,120 have recovered, 149 died and 2,051 are still active.

Police arrest arson mastermind; to be charged today

Another suspect is charged in relation to the vehicle arson cases. Police think that this suspect is the mastermind behind the cases. He is a 24-year-old from Zabbar. 

The police received a tip-off relating to a conspiracy to set another Vehicle on fire. The young man was taken into police custody last Wednesday and he will be charged today.

Muscat testifies in court as Facebook profile reads “I never provoked hatred”

Joseph Muscat is currently testifying in court for the Daphne Caruana Galizia murder inquiry while his Facebook profile is constantly posting updates with regards to the case.

One of the most striking instances, in both Maltese in English, reads “I never provoked hatred.”
