112 COVID-19 cases registered overnight with 96 recoveries

Malta has registered 112 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours from 3,049 swab tests, while 96 patients have recovered. This information was announced by the official Facebook page of Malta’s Ministry for Health.

From yesterday’s cases; 15 cases were family members of previously known cases, 9 cases were contacts of positive work colleagues, 2 cases were direct contacts with other positive cases, 2 cases were from social gatherings with other positive cases.

To date, Malta has registered 11,415 COVID-19 cases in total, of which: 9,515 have recovered, 180 died and 1,719 are still active.

It’s been 40 years since Ġgantija became a UNESCO World Heritage Site

It’s been 40 years since our very own Ġgantija temples were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

UNESCO’s claim of Ġgantija as a World Heritage Site means that it is of top-level importance and it also represents something unique to humanity.

This also ensures the continues protection and preservation of this site.

Malta has offered Libya assistance with education

Following a visit to Tripoli made by Foreign Minister Evarist Bartolo and Education Minister Justyne Caruana, Malta has offered Libya assistance with their education system.

Malta has offered help from the University of Malta and MCAST in learning English, personal skills and the resolution of problems and disputes without violence.
