Court shuts down claims pushed by PL concerning Ex-Minister Giovanna Debono
Mar 24 2021 Share

Gozo’s Magistrate Court has liberated PN Ex-Ministers’ Giovanna Debono husband from all accusations he faced a number of years ago. The sentence drops all claims pushed by Labour Party which attempted to rubbish Giovanna Debono and her family. The Magistrate also scolded the police, claiming they could have investigated the case better in order to avoid Mr. Debono, for whom Joe Giglio appeared as judge, having to be taken up to court.

The PN states that they welcome the court’s decision and highlights that the accusations were simply conjectures which lead to years of pointless suffering for the Debono family, having been taken to court unjustly.

Multiple sources have suggested that today’s COVID-19 case report may reveal another relatively low number of new cases with significantly high recoveries.

Yesterday, the Health Ministry’s ‘Saħħa’ page reported 90 new cases, which was the first time that Malta registered a two-digit figure of overnight cases since 5th February 2021.

In a conference addressed by Deputy Prime Minister Chris Fearne from Parliament, he stated that while the public must remain cautious, things are looking considerably good, with one out of every four adults having received the first vaccine dose.
