100 empty chairs placed in front of Castille in honour of COVID-19 victims

In a symbolic tribute to victims of COVID-19, civil society organisation ‘Repubblika’ placed 100 empty chairs with white carnations in front of Castille. 

The organisation called upon the government and disputed their mixed messages regarding the ongoing pandemic.

Repubblika representative Alessandra Dee Crespo stated that the chairs represent the 100 family, which “nothing will bring them back”, placing the blame on the government’s alleged conflicting messages.

Austria is the latest European country to go into lockdown

As of Tuesday, the entirety of Austria has gone into tough lockdown to attempt to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in the country.

Austrian citizens are only allowed to leave home for ‘essential’ job, to purchase any necessities, to exercise or to aid citizens in need of assistance. 

Non-essential businesses like restaurants, salons and other shops have been closed while the country’s academic system has gone online via remote learning. 

Austria has registered 46,946 new COVID-19 cases over the past week.

Academy of Dance Arts launch touching Anti-Bullying video

In honour of Anti-Bullying Week 2020, the Academy of Dance Arts have launched a powerful video incorporating a mix of touching music and interpretive dance. 

Seemingly promoting a message of self-empowerment and inclusion, the video features a number of the Academy’s talented dancers and signs off with “Don’t let anyone dull your sparkle.”

Barack Obama’s book launch playlist features Beyoncé, Eminem and more

The 44th President of the United states, Barack Obama, is set to release his memoirs as president of the United States and with it, a playlist full of timeless tracks.

Obama posted the playlist of Twitter, stating how music has always played an important role in his life and reiterated that the songs in the playlist take him back to his administration.

The playlist features 20 songs and includes the likes of Beyonce, Eminem, The Beatles, Jay-Z and more.
